Step 8: Align back legs so back of arm rest is flush with the back edge of back leg. You may have to pivot leg forward or backwards to make the alignment.
Step 9: Attach rear arm rest to back leg with 2 - 1 5/8” screws as shown in picture. No need to glue. Screw in 2nd screw in bottom of back legs. Tighten bolts on front legs
Flush
Step 4: Set leg/arm assemblies aside. Stand base/seat assembly #1 on side as shown and peel off tape on base and inside of leg.

Step 2: Place right front leg #2 directly over the no paint area or line drawing, if unfinished.

Step 3: Toe nail a 2 1/2” screw thru front and back edge of leg into bottom of arm rest. Screw a 3” screw thru the triangle block into bottom of arm rest. Do the same with the left arm rest and left front leg. Wipe up any glue seepage with wet cloth. Peel tape off that is attached to inside surface of both legs.

Step 10: Put glue on top of back legs. Place Middle canoe (part #3) on top of back legs so two holes are directly over back legs. Attach with 1–2” screw on each side. Then attach the other screw on each side. There is a very slight overhang of back edge of canoe beyond back edge of leg. ( you can use existing screw holes since this part has previously been assembled and taken apart)

Step 5: Apply glue to wood area and attach leg/arm assembly to base with bolt. Put washer and nut on bolt on under side and snuggly tighten nut, but not tight. Flip assembly over and peel off tape and apply glue to other side and attach other leg/arm assembly.

Step 6: Stand up base/seat assembly with legs and arms attached as shown. It should look like this. Make sure bottom of legs are flat on the working surface. Don’t tighten bolts yet.

Step 7: Next take #3, left and Right back legs and peel of tape on lower inside surface of legs. Also peel off tape on the inside surface of base just above blocks of wood. Apply glue and stand right back leg on top of small wooden block. Attach to base with just one, 1 5/8” screw for now. Do the same with the other leg.
